Products: listings your assistant can talk about
The Products page (Products in the left menu) is your catalog. Each listing you add here is something your assistant can describe to a customer — and, if it has photos, actually show them, instead of describing what it looks like. This is separate from Knowledge Base: a product is built field by field here, not uploaded as a file.
The catalog comes with every package, from Starter up; packages differ only in how many products it holds. If your workspace has no active package, the page explains what the catalog does instead — see If the page says it isn't part of your account yet.
Who does what
| Who | What they do |
|---|---|
| You | Add, edit and delete listings — title, description, details and photos. |
| Agentech | Includes the catalog in every package, sets how many products it holds and adds 100 more each time you ask, turns each listing into something the assistant can search and quote, and serves its photos when a customer asks to see them. |
Adding a listing
- Click Add product.
- Fill in:
- Title — required. As the form explains, "A title is required — it is what a customer names when they ask."
- Description — free text, written the way you'd describe it to a customer.
- Details — labelled facts about the listing, added one row at a time with Add detail (for example a "Price" row with a value like "12,000,000 EGP"). Add as many as you need, or remove one with its ×.
- Photos — see below.
- Click Add product. The new listing appears at the top of your catalog immediately, showing Queued while the assistant finishes indexing it.
To change a listing later, click Edit on its card, change any field, and click Save. To remove one, click Delete on its card and confirm: "Delete "[title]"? Your assistant stops answering about it, and its photos go with it."
How many products your catalog includes
Your catalog includes a set number of products, depending on your package. At the top of the page a bar shows how many you have out of that number — for example "23 of 50 products" with the percent used — and under it "Need more room? Add 100 products to your package." with an Add 100 products button. Deleting a listing frees its place straight away. If your catalog has no limit, no bar is shown. The same count is on Usage, under Product catalog.
Add 100 products
The Add 100 products button opens Support → Contact us: tell us how many more you need and we add them to your package, 100 at a time, for as long as your package runs. Nothing is added until we've arranged it with you.
"You've reached your catalog's [N] products. Add 100 products to make room for more."
Your catalog has as many listings as it includes, or more. If you're already past it, you see this same line, and the bar at the top shows by how much — for example "53 of 50 products". Nothing is blocked: Add product still works, every listing you add still saves, and your assistant still answers about it and sends its photos.
Fix: press Add 100 products (or open Support → Contact us) and we'll add more products to your catalog.
Photos
- Drop image files anywhere in the photo box, or click it to browse. Only image files are accepted — anything else is rejected with "Photos only — drop an image file."
- A listing can hold up to 20 photos. Trying to add more once you're at the limit shows "A listing can have at most 20 photos."
- The first photo is the cover — the one shown first, on the card and to customers. Reorder by dragging a photo, using the ←/→ buttons under it, or clicking Make cover on any photo to move it to the front.
- Remove a photo with the × in its corner. Once you save, the photo is deleted, unless another listing uses it too.
- Photos are resized when they upload: large ones are scaled down to at most 1280 pixels on their longest side and saved as JPG, turned the right way up. That is the size customers and the assistant see; the grid shows a smaller copy. You don't need to shrink photos yourself first.
- Sending product photos to customers doesn't use messages, however many your assistant sends.
- If a customer asks to see a listing that has no photos, your assistant tells them it has none to share yet instead of promising pictures. If they ask again for photos it has already sent in the same conversation, it points them back to those rather than sending them twice.
- Photos upload as soon as you drop or choose them, before you save the listing. If you try to close the editor while one is uploaded but not yet saved onto a listing, you're asked to confirm: "Close without saving 1 photo? It has been uploaded but no listing claims it yet. You'll be offered it again next time you open the editor." If you do close it, that photo isn't lost — the next time you open the editor, a banner lists it by filename with an Add to this listing button (or Discard, if you don't want it after all).
Status and finding a listing
Each card shows a status badge — Queued, Processing, Ready or Failed — the same meanings as on Knowledge Base. A status updates on its own as soon as it changes, so you don't need to refresh the page. Use the search box above the grid to filter your catalog by name.
"This photo couldn't be read. Upload it as a JPG or PNG."
The file you added isn't one we can open as a picture, so it wasn't added to the listing. The usual cause is an iPhone photo saved as HEIC, or a file that is damaged or only named like an image.
Fix: save or export the photo as a JPG or PNG and add it again. On an iPhone, a screenshot of the photo is saved as a PNG you can add straight away; to make the camera save JPG from now on, choose Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible.
If the page says it isn't part of your account yet
The Products page shows one line — "A product catalog lets your assistant answer about your items and show customers their photos. It isn't part of your account yet." — and a Request access button, instead of your catalog.
The catalog comes with every package, so this means your workspace has no active package (for example it only has WhatsApp campaigns). If your package has ended, the line reads "Your Product catalog access ended on [date]. Everything here stays readable." instead. Either way there is no grid and no Add product button to use.
Fix: click Request access (or Talk to us). That opens the Support panel with a message to us, and we'll set up or renew your package. Once it's active, the page opens normally — your listings are kept.
While it's off, your assistant still answers from your Knowledge Base as usual. Only the catalog is closed.
When to email us
See When to email us. For a listing or photo that won't save, include the listing's title. To add more products to your catalog, tell us roughly how many listings you need.
